Farida Amadou and Aquiles Navarro’s collaboration is a sonic alchemy, fusing raw instinct with fearless exploration. Farida, a self-taught bassist from Brussels, wields her electric bass like a painter’s brush, crafting deep, pulsating grooves that blur the line between acoustic and electronic. Since 2011, her instrument has been a conduit for her boundary-pushing sound, rooted in improvisation and texture. Aquiles Navarro, a masterful trumpeter, complements her with soaring, lyrical lines and jagged bursts, weaving electronic effects into his vibrant melodies.
