Ben Tequi is a versatile drummer from Brussels, trained at the Brussels Conservatory, known for seamlessly blending hip-hop, jazz, and other genres. A key member of FOKKOP.ERA, he has performed with the band at high-profile events like Les Nuits 2021, opening for artists such as Akua Naru and Clipping, and reached the finals of the 2023 Concours Circuit. His dynamic drumming, inspired by icons like Chris Dave, Brian Blade, and Jorge Rossy, has also featured in projects like the Fabrice Mukuna Band and Man On Fire & The Soul Soldiers. Tequi’s contributions extend to residencies at Vaartkapoen and recordings for FOKKOP.ERA’s debut EP SPITCOINS (2023).
