“Nat Geo’s most exciting release yet — a massive dance groove set to Walt Whitman.”
Bibi Tanga makes music that moves between worlds. He was born in the Central African Republic, raised across four continents, and now calls Paris home. His sound is a conversation between Afrobeat, funk, soul, and hip‑hop—sung in French, English, and Sango. With his band The Selenites, he has performed over 200 concerts across four continents, released four acclaimed albums, and built a reputation for live shows that groove hard and leave room for reflection. His music is festive, yes—but it also asks questions. It's the kind of music that makes you move your feet and think about what you're moving for.
“Hyper-literate messages in some of the most danceable grooves this side of Gnarls Barkley.”
