Çağıl Kaya
Çağıl Kaya is a Turkish jazz vocalist and musician known for her distinctive voice and vibrant performances. Born in Ankara, she graduated from Ege University with a degree in chemistry before pursuing her passion for music at Dokuz Eylül University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, where she studied musicology. She later earned a master’s degree in music from Istanbul University. Kaya has trained with renowned vocalists such as Randy Esen, Elif Çağlar, and Sibel Köse, and has performed alongside notable Turkish jazz artists like Tamer Temel, Alper Yılmaz, and Volkan Öktem. Her debut album, Bir Parça Ay Biraz Kuş (2014), showcases her original compositions and interpretations of contemporary jazz works. Based in Istanbul, she continues to captivate audiences with her dynamic stage presence and eclectic musical style.
