Ercüment Orkut
Born in Istanbul in 1984, Ercüment Orkut is a composer, pianist, and arranger known for his versatile voice in contemporary jazz and classical music. A graduate of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory, he studied composition under Özkan Manav and completed his master’s degree with Prof. Hasan Uçarsu.
He has collaborated with acclaimed artists, including Erkan Oğur, Dave Allen, and Médéric Collignon. International recognition followed with awards at the Nomme Jazz Festival in Estonia and invitations to jazz workshops in Siena, Italy, where he worked with Miguel Zenon, Aaron Parks, and Matt Mitchell.
In 2015, he released his debut solo album, Low Profile, under Kalan Music. His compositions have been featured in film and television, earning the "Best Music" award at the 2013 Antalya Television Awards. Blending improvisation with cinematic texture, he continues to shape an expressive and evolving musical language across genres.
In 2018, he released his second solo album, Persona, under Lin Records. In 2022, he collaborated with Tamer Temel, Cem Aksel, and Hezarfen Ensemble to release Töz II. Additionally, he has composed original scores for films such as Vita Brevis (2023) and Cadı (2024).
