Jon Roth

Jon Roth began playing trombone at 9, studying with Henry Heyzer and Moe Snyder. He attended Montclair State University, training under Alan Ferber in trombone and composing, and performed with artists like Ingrid Jensen and Don Braden. After graduating, he worked as a trombonist and arranger for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Now freelancing in the tri-state area, he’s collaborated with Larry Coryell, Wycliffe Gordon, and others. Jon teaches at The Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood, NJ, and the Thurnauer School of Music in Teaneck, NJ.
