Manolo Cabras
Born in Cagliari, Manolo Cabras began studying violin at 11, later switching to bass and earning a Jazz degree in Siena. He studied with masters like Dave Holland and Miroslav Vitous. His career led from Bologna to Holland, where he earned a Master’s at The Hague Conservatory, before settling in Brussels, becoming a key figure in the Belgian jazz scene. He’s performed with groups like Ben Sluijs Quartet, Toots Thielemans Quartet, and Erik Vermeulen Trio, appearing at jazz festivals across Europe and Asia alongside artists like Enrico Rava and Toots Thielemans. Manolo leads projects like Fuzzy and the Manolo Cabras Quartet and is a part of bands including Orange Moon and Lynn Cassiers’ YUN.
