Richard Decamps
Richard Decamps, a Belgian clarinetist, directs the Conservatoire Lucien Robert de Tamines after teaching clarinet and saxophone for 33 years. A versatile musician, he plays solo clarinet with the Ensemble Instrumental de Wallonie and performs in jazz/pop, notably with William Sheller for a decade and alongside Ray Charles and Diana Ross at the Cannes Jazz Festival. He plays baritone sax in the funk group Soultrain Memories and leads the Richie Jazz Band (founded 1988), Les Vents d’Anches clarinet quartet, and initiated L’Antre Deux Mondes project.
