Sander Huys

Sander Huys is a Belgian bassist and pianist from a musical family, introduced to jazz and blues by his father. He began classical piano at ten, later exploring jazz, and picked up bass guitar at seventeen. After studying philosophy briefly at UGent, he pursued jazz bass at the Ghent Conservatory. Huys performs across genres with projects like SAMFI (afrojazz), Ventus (pop-rock), Super Samba Ginga (samba), and Arend Delabie (indie), appearing at venues like DOUR, de Roma, and AB. He also arranged songs for EMY, earning airplay on Radio 1 and Studio Brussel.
