Shoko Igarashi, a Japanese saxophonist, flautist, and composer born in Yamagata, blends jazz, Japanese city-pop, and electronic music. Trained at Berklee College of Music, she performed in New York before settling in Brussels in 2018, where she founded Maniac Maison. Her solo work, including albums Simple Sentences (2022) and Onsen Music (2024), fuses vibrant anime-inspired sounds with jazz fusion, earning praise from Pitchfork and Mixmag.
