Tamer Temel

Born in Istanbul and raised in Izmir, Tamer Temel has performed in various significant projects and festivals across Turkey. In 2010, he released his debut album, Barcelona, under A.K. Müzik, featuring Dave Allen on guitar, Masa Kamaguchi on bass, and Marc Miralta on drums. While sharing his music at numerous festivals, concert halls, and jazz clubs, Tamer Temel also continues to teach jazz at Bahçeşehir University.

His second album, bir kedi kara, was also released by A.K. Müzik and featured Cem Aksel, Serkan Özyılmaz, Eylül Biçer, Volkan Topakoğlu, and Kenny Wollesen. He performed this album at international festivals such as the Istanbul Jazz Festival and the Akbank Jazz Festival.

His third album, Serbest Düşüş (Free Fall), was recorded at Miam Studios and released by A.K. Müzik in December 2016. The debut album of TÖZ Trio, formed with Ercüment Orkut and Cem Aksel, was recorded at Miam Studios and released by A.K. Müzik in September 2018.

Following these releases, Temel continued to develop new collaborations. In 2021, he recorded and released Kadıköy with Emre Tankal, Volkan Topakoğlu, and Berke Özgümüş, and composed the original soundtrack for the film Yeniden Leyla, which was also released as an album. In 2022, he released TÖZ II, a collaboration between the TÖZ Trio and Hezarfen Ensemble, expanding the trio’s sound with new textures and orchestration.

As a sideman, Tamer Temel has contributed to numerous projects and albums. He also performs with the project bir şeyler eksik alongside Alper Yılmaz, Çağıl Kaya, Volkan Öktem, and Serhan Erkoç.
