Emma Lamadji is a distinguished French-Central African vocalist, songwriter, and choir director based in Montpellier, France. Celebrated for her soulful, powerful voice, she seamlessly blends African music, jazz, and gospel, reflecting her vibrant cultural heritage. Her career began in gospel ensembles, where she opened for luminaries like Liz McComb and Rhoda Scott.

Deeply connected to her African roots, Lamadji joined the Afrobeat band FANGA and co-led the dynamic AFROROCKERZ for over a decade, performing at Tony Allen-endorsed Afrobeat Family events. She co-founded OURIM TOUMIM with drummer Jon Grandcamp, a project supported by Oumou Sangaré, contributing vocals to Sangaré’s albums Mogoya, Acoustic, and Timbuktu. With guitarist Matia Levréro, she formed the duet MATYEMAH, creating an intimate fusion of Afro-soul and acoustic sounds. Her solo project, AFROPLUGGED, embodies her authentic Afro-soul style, showcasing her diverse influences. Lamadji has collaborated with artists like June Jazzin and Grand Turn on tracks such as "Mbi Ke Na Mo" and "Into The Beat," reinforcing her prominence in the global music scene.

She currently serves as choirmaster of the GOSPELIZE IT choir, delivering captivating performances across Europe.
