Le Monde Merveilleux de Pépito •

Le Monde Merveilleux de Pépito is a jazz quartet led by Franco-Belgian composer, trumpeter, and flugelhorn player Pierre-Antoine Savoyat, in which heartfelt storytelling intertwines with tightly woven compositions and refined improvisations. Known for his collaborations with acclaimed groups such as AKA Moon and Stéphane Galland & The Rhythm Hunters, Savoyat creates music deeply rooted in personal memories and social reflection.

With pianist Simon Groppe, bassist Fil Caporali, and drummer Oscar Georges, the quartet delivers emotionally rich, organically unfolding performances that leave a lasting impression. Their debut album, Memories From a Winter Journey (2023), is a moving tribute to Savoyat’s late mother and father.

This intimate work also features a luminous string quartet: Amèle Metlini and Julien Gillain on violins, Coline Meulemans on viola, and Sinouhé Gilot on cello. It also includes the elegant contribution of Ambroos de Schepper on alto saxophone.

Currently, Le Monde Merveilleux de Pépito is preparing its highly anticipated second album. For this new chapter, they welcome three adventurous and expressive voices: Alexandra Grimal on saxophones, Lucia Pires on flutes, and Lynn Cassiers’ ethereal voice and electronics, further enriching their vibrant sonic world.

With grace, depth, and imagination, Le Monde Merveilleux de Pépito continues its enchanting musical journey, inviting listeners to feel, reflect, and dream together.
