Töz Trio is a Turkish musical group formed in 2016, consisting of accomplished musicians Tamer Temel (tenor and soprano saxophone), Ercüment Orkut (piano), and Cem Aksel (drums). The trio blends jazz with contemporary classical music, creating a distinctive sound that balances written compositions with individual and collective improvisation. Their debut album, Töz, was released in 2018 under the A.K. Music label, featuring original works composed by Tamer Temel. In 2023, they collaborated with the Hezarfen Ensemble for their second album, Töz II, expanding their ensemble to nine musicians and further exploring a fusion of jazz and classical elements. Known for their dynamic performances and innovative approach, Töz Trio continues to captivate audiences with their evolving musical explorations.
